Pollinators: This flower is visited by very few pollinators. I've seen a few leps visit briefly, but they usually seem to be in between visits to richer flowers. This l'il megachild was seriously working the flowers for pollen only, thus making her a highly effective pollinator, rapidly sweeping across the flower structures. It is jet black with a blue irridescence; a beautiful bee.
(This photo is a personal coup for me. Though it's not perfect, megachilid bees are extremely difficult subjects, as they move very fast and are easily spooked. When spooked they won't return for a long time.)
