slicebroodcomb8_3in.bmp (151038 bytes) One by one, the brood combs are sliced off with a sharp knife. They are placed into a super, above the excluder. The queen (if we can find her) will be put into the brood chamber, under the excluder. Then she will lay her eggs in frames of comb we provided. The brood above the excluder will hatch out, and we can then cut out the loose comb and replace it with frames
